Crown Chakra

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

The Crown Chakra is associated with the top of the head. This Chakra is often associated with the emotions of spirituality and bliss. The Crown Chakra is often considered the energy center for all higher spirituality functions. It is here that spiritual growth takes place.

The psychological attributes that are associated with the Crown Chakra is Wisdom, Inspiration and Awareness of the Higher Self. Also commonly associated with this area are Meditation and Vision Perception. It is here that meditation begins and if used properly, processed throughout the whole system the Crown Chakra is the gateway between body and soul and the energy in-between.

The color of the Crown Chakra is Violet. Sometimes white is used to represent this Chakra but not very often. The Sanskrit name for the charka is Sahasrara. The symbol of the Crown Chakra is often shown as a violet flame. This flame represents our need to burn away all the negative energy that fills us and allow the positive, pure energy to flow into our physical bodies as well as our spiritual ones.

The Crown Chakra is the portal of energy to the six other charkas. If the crown charka suffers from blockage (negative energy) the rest of the body and spirit will suffer. It is believed that by “opening” this area to enlightenment the rest of the body will benefit as well.

Body parts associated with the Crown Chakra are: all parts of the brain, the nervous system, pituitary functions and hair growth. Also associated with this Chakra is the Pineal Gland. It is here, in the Crown Chakra, that the most important functions of your physical body take place. This is also the place where the most important functions of your spiritual well being takes place.

Often considered a result of blocked energy flow to the Crown Chakra, depression and other mental illnesses are associated with this area. Lymphatic problems, skin rashes, vein or blood vessel issues and even senility can be attributed to the lack of energy flow to the Crown Chakra.

By aligning your Crown Chakra you can begin to embark on a healing process for your body and spirit. You will embark on the path to enlightenment as well as free yourself from the burdens of negative energy. By working to enhance our Crown Chakra we in effect enhance each of the other remaining six charkas. Improving the flow of positive, pure energy into your consciousness will be a lifelong practice with wondrous results.

Third Eye Chakra

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

The brow chakra, or sixth chakra, is located on the center of the forehead just above the eyebrows. This chakra is also known as the third-eye chakra and its sanskrit name is Ajna.

Indigo is the color that is most often associated with the brow or third-eye chakra. It is symbolized by a two petaled lotus.

The brow chakra is most commonly associated with intuition. When the brow chakra is well balanced, the result is an increased ability to tap into inner wisdom and knowing. It can also open the door for greater intuition, psychic abilities, and clairvoyance. Other advantages to having a well balanced brow chakra include better memory, increased understanding, greater imagination, and the the ability to more easily overcome personal fears.

All seven major chakras correspond with different glands and parts of the body. The brow chakra is associated with the Pituitary gland, which controls the release of hormones as well as growth, blood pressure, thyroid function, and the bodies ability to regulate its temperature.

The brow chakra is mainly associated with the brain and upper body. It influences the ears, eyes, and nose, as well as the sinuses. The brow chakra is associated with the Autonomic Nervous System, the Forebrain, and the Cerebellum.

Whereas the brow chakra’s main function is tuning into intuition and inner wisdom, it also highly influences the body’s energy field or aura. The aura is the field of energy that surrounds the body and can be seen as color around the body by some intuitive individuals and psychics. This field can be sensed, many times unknowingly, by other people, and can often influence how a person is percieved by others.

It is important to maintain a healthy balance of the brow chakra, as well as the other six major chakras. If the brow chakra is not properly balanced, it can result in headaches, problems with the associated body parts, trouble sleeping, and various mental imbalances. Often, people that have too much energy in the brow chakra will appear spacey or lack focus on the world around them.

It is important for people who wish to develop psychic and intuitive abilities to keep the brow chakra clear and balanced. There are countless resources available to learn how to balance the brow chakra, as well as the other six chakras. Meditation is commonly used when working to balance the brow chakra.

The brow chakra, as well as the other six chakras, are also used by energy healers and Reiki practioners to heal the body.

Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra also known as Anahata, is one of the seven main Chakras that direct the flow of energy throughout our bodies. This electromagnetic energy that some refer to as the Aura can affect our well being. When our electromagnetic field is off balance we can become ill both physically and emotionally.

The Heart Chakra is located in the center of the chest behind the breast bone and in-between the shoulder blades. It is represented by the color green. Not only is the Heart Chakra responsible for the heart, circulatory, and respiratory system, it also governs many psychological functions. These include such things as: self control, love, compassion, forgiveness, fear, grief, pain and heartache.

The Heart Chakra affects our emotions of balance, self control and love. When the Heart Chakra is in balance our sense of harmony and peace within our self and within our relationships with others are strong. We feel relaxed, our sense of compassion, generosity, and love are well balanced. When the Heart Chakra is out of balanced, the feelings of paranoia and the unworthiness of love can occur. An increase in negative emotions such as bitterness, jealousy, and indifference to others can occur. A person with an unbalanced Heart Chakra can also have physical illnesses that are related to the heart: high blood pressure, difficulty breathing, chest and muscle pains and even a potential heart attack and cancer.

The Heart Chakra is related to the Thymus gland, which is the gland in our body that helps to control our immune systems. Since our hearts and immune systems are central components of health, it is important to maintain the Heart Chakra’s balance.

Remember that there are seven main Chakras and that each of these Chakras should be in balance in order to complete our circle of energy. Since each Chakra is related to the function of an internal body system it is important to understand the underlying cause of why our Chakras are out of balance.

There are several suggestions to help maintain or allow the Heart Chakra to come back into balance. Meditation, breathing techniques, choosing the correct colors for your house, and even crystal can be used to help maintain a balanced Heart Chakra.

When you begin your meditation, use a rose quartz in the hand you use most. Take deep breathes, taking in the energy from all around you. Let the air flow through every cell of your body. Continue until you have begun to relax.

Sacral Chakra

The sacral, or spleen, chakra is located in the lower abdominal area. Its color is orange, and it is known as Svadhisthana in Sanskrit. It is symbolized by a six petaled lotus.

The sacral chakra deals heavily with emotions and feelings. It also deals with creativity, intimacy, freedom, sensuality, and procreation. A healthy, balanced sacral chakra is essential to maintaining an emotionally balanced life.

The sacral or spleen chakra is associated with the gonads and the male and female reproductive system. In addition to the reproductive organs, the sacral chakra is also associated with the urinary tract, gallbladder, skin, spleen, and kidneys. It charges the energy field around the body known as the aura or etheric body.

Since the sacral chakra, as well as the other six major chakras, directly influences many of the body’s major organs, imbalance of this chakra may cause illness and health problems. Because of the sacral chakra’s connection to the reproductive system, women who do not have a blanced sacral chakra may find it difficult to conceive and bear children. It may also lead to a whole host of problems associated with the ovaries and uterus. Imbalance of this chakra in men may cause impotence.

Since the sacral chakra highly influences the emotions, an imbalance can cause many psychological disorders, emotional disorders, and addictions. Individuals who have an imbalanced sacral chakra may develop eating disorders or depression. An imbalance in the sacral chakra may also trigger addiction to drugs or alcohol.

An individual who has a balanced and healthy sacral chakra may be seen as highly passionate and creative. They will easily be able to see the beauty in the world around them, and will be able to easily see the positive side of the people around them.

People with an over-energized sacral chakra may appear reckless or hedonistic at times, as these individuals will constantly be focused on pleasure and fulfilling their desires.

Those who have an under-energized sacral chakra may appear stagnant and unwilling to pursue creative endeavors. These individuals often block or feel unworthy of having any desires. They may also avoid activities that they previously took pleasure in.

In order to maintain a healthy and fulfilling life and live up to one’s full potential, it is important to have all seven of the major chakras well-balanced. Meditation is one of the most effective tools for checking the chakras for imbalances, as well as rebalancing the chakras. Simply going into a medatative state and picturing each individual chakra being cleansed by white light can help to keep the chakras healthy and balanced.

Root Chakra

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

As the foundation for all of the chakras, the root chakra takes its stability from the earth. The building trades recognize that a strong foundation connected to the earth is necessary to keep a building from collapse. The same holds true with the chakra system. It is easier to feel secure when the base is stable. Located in the area of the coccyx between the perineum and the anus, the root chakra allows for personal life energy, known as chi, to enter from the earth and flow through the body. When energy is flowing freely through this chakra, people find they are full of energy. They also evoke a great passion for life. The lotus flower with four petals and the color red are symbols of this chakras’ life energy. Passion and strength are associated with the base chakra. Often an elephant, bull or ox depicts the first chakra as a reminder that this energy center is one of strength and stability. Feelings of trust and security are the result of a strong root chakra, while apathy and lack of trust may indicate an imbalance in this area. There are many methods to strengthen the first chakra. Affirmations repeated while looking in a mirror are particularly helpful when bringing power to the base area.
